  13. 1. Installing The Flix Mix Demo from DOS

  15.    To install the demo you will need approx. 3.5Mb
  16.    of free space on your hard disk.
  17.  
  18.    From DOS:
  19.    a. From the DOS prompt, type 'A:\INSTALL' if
  20.       your floppy drive is called 'A:'. If your
  21.       floppy drive is called 'B:' then
  22.       type 'B:\INSTALL'
  23.    b. Follow the on-screen instructions
  24.       (you will be asked where you would
  25.       like the demo installed and asked what
  26.       sound card you have and what game
  27.       control method you would like to use).
  28.    c. The Flix Mix demo will now be copied
  29.       to your hard disk.   
  30.    d. Just type 'FLIXMIX' to run the demo.

  33. 2. Installing The Flix Mix Demo From Windows 3.1/3.11
  34. =====================================================
  35.    a. Click on the 'File' menu in Program
  36.       Manager and choose 'Run'.
  37.    b. Type 'A:\INSTALL' if your floppy
  38.       drive is called 'A:' (if your floppy
  39.       drive is called 'B:', then type
  40.       'B:\INSTALL' instead). Then click 
  41.       on 'OK'
  42.    c. Follow the on-screen instructions
  43.       (you will be asked where you would
  44.       like the demo installed and asked what
  45.       sound card you have and what control
  46.       method you would like to use).
  47.    d. The Flix Mix demo will now be copied
  48.       to your hard disk. 
  49.    e. If you want to run the demo from Windows,
  50.       you can create an icon for the demo by
  51.       double-clicking on the folder you would
  52.       like to add the demo icon to (Games, for
  53.       example). 
  54.       Then click on the 'File' menu in Program
  55.       Manager and then click on 'New'. Choose
  56.       'Program Item' and then 'OK'.  
  57.    f. You will then be asked for the command line
  58.       for the demo. Type the full path name for the
  59.       Flix Mix demo - e.g. 'C:\FLIXMIX\FLIXMIX.EXE'. 
  60.       Then click 'OK'. An icon will now appear 
  61.       in your chosen folder.

  63. 3. Installing The Flix Mix Demo from Windows 95
  64. ===============================================

  66.    a. Click on the 'Start' button and then 
  67.       click on 'Run'.
  68.    b. Type 'A:\INSTALL' if your floppy drive is
  69.       called 'A:'. If your floppy drive is called
  70.       'B:' then just type 'B:\INSTALL' instead.
  71.    c. Click on 'OK'.
  72.    d. Follow the on-screen instructions
  73.       (you will be asked where you would
  74.       like the demo installed and asked what
  75.       sound card you have and what control
  76.       method you would like to use).
  77.    e. The Flix Mix demo will now be copied
  78.       to your hard disk. 
  79.    f. After you have selected your control method
  80.       you can close the DOS window that the install
  81.       program ran in.  
  82.    g. To run the demo from Windows 95, you can add
  83.       an icon to your start menu. To do this, just
  84.       click on the 'Start' button and then on 
  85.       'Settings'.  Then choose 'Taskbar'.
  86.    h. Click on the 'Start Menu Programs' tab at the
  87.       top of the window.  Then just click on 'Add'.
  88.    i. You will then be asked for the command line
  89.       for the demo. Type the full path name for the
  90.       Flix Mix demo - e.g. 'C:\FLIXMIX\FLIXMIX.EXE'. 
  91.       Then click 'Next'.
  92.    j. You can now choose where you would like the 
  93.       icon to be placed. You can create a new folder
  94.       (with the 'New Folder' button) or place the 
  95.       icon inside an existing folder (for example,
  96.       you could place the demo inside the 'Games'
  97.       folder). Once you have chosen a location
  98.       just click 'Next'.
  99.    k. You can also edit the shortcut name - the
  100.       default is 'Flixmix'. Then click on 'Next'.
  101.    l. You can also choose an icon. Once you have
  102.       chosen your icon, click on 'Finish'.
